The design of this statement gold and polki necklace is centred around two of the most prominent motifs in Indian jewellery: the pankhi (fan-shaped pendant) and the claw.

The pankhi holds a falcon motif in the centre, surrounded by polki/uncut diamonds set using the traditional jadai technique with chilai details around the stones. On the top are three small gold units kundan-set with diamonds, each with a fungar on its top—a small gold cup to which pearls, with red bead finials, are wired. Emerald drops ending with tiny pearls and red enamelled beads are suspended from the pankhi.

On either side of the pankhi are pairs of 'nakh' or claw-shaped units, and circular polki units, bordered with seed pearls and emerald beads. All these units are strung on a cord using the patwa technique, the craft of using silk and cotton threads to string and even make units. The entire stringing takes about 10 man-hours.
